Pamilacan island,  from its literal translation “the place of the pilak“, the latter being a heavy stainless steel hook-harpoon used in hunting such sea creatures like manta rays, whale sharks, and bryde’s whale. Pamilacan may not have all the makings of an island resort paradise but its greatest feature is the islands hidden beauty.

You can get there through plane (PAL and Cebu Pacific). From Tagbilaran, You can take a jeepney or tricycle or hire a shuttle to baclayon, which is a 7 kilometer trip. The price for plane (PAL) is Php 7,596.00 roundtrip,regular fare and for shuttle Php 1,500.00 - Php 2,000.00. The travel time take an hour and 10 minutes.

You can stay at one of the Baclayon Ancestral Homes for Development Initiatives(BAHANDI) to experience the local culture, a heritage homes that have been turned into homestays and hostels.
